Financial Assistance for Children’s Classes

Creative Malden provides financial assistance for Malden Children to access high quality creative classes at MAP Family Learning Center.

MAP Family Learning Center, located at 10 Dexter Street, Malden, MA, is a place for learning music, art, and (computer) programming. Like a music school, MAP offers private lessons and group lessons in music. Like an art studio, it offers classes in art, both private and group. Like a coding club, there are computers with software for the students to explore computation. However, MAP also offers afterschool care where students experience everything from singing to print making to designing an interactive game on the computer.

Creative Malden and MAP believe all children can achieve in these subjects, and that lives are enriched by such achievements. Art creations by MAP afterschool students have been showcased at galleries. Musical performances by students have been showcased at various events. And the students’ coding creations have been featured in online blogs.

We want kids to feel that what they do makes an impact, and MAP works hard to find places in the community where they can showcase their work. Such showcasing motivates kids and develops important professional skills such as teamwork, planning, and presentation.
